The record2006 – 2026YogaPros at twenty
Brian and Bruce decided somebody had to hold a proper standard. Turns out it held.
We’re twenty this year. Doesn’t time go fast. In truth, though, the milestone isn’t ours. It’s yours. So before anything else, meet the real heroes: you, our members.

And we’ve only just started.
You could buy every piece of this somewhere else, sold separately. For me, what matters is the connection: each piece feeds the others, and all of it stands behind your name.
What training and teaching must involve before we put our name to either. Written down, public, readable by anyone.

Where it all lands
Every line on this map ends at a person. Meet Elena — the record is real, and it’s public.

Recognition is one half of a teaching life. A living is the other. Twenty years in, most of the world still treats yoga teaching as a hobby, and the people doing the work know better. So we built the Growth Path: four disciplines that turn a qualification into a career that holds. There’s no set order, and for me that’s the point. The pieces hold together, or the career doesn’t.
A hobby will happily stay a hobby. A career takes deciding.
05 Independent review of YogaPros
In July 2026 the Professional Wellness Alliance published its independent comparison of the leading yoga organisations. YogaPros came first for transparency to students, studios and employers. Worth saying plainly: we didn’t commission it, and we don’t control it. Read it in full if you like, then have a look at the system it examined.

07 The new Experience Badges
Five grades, and you can’t buy a single one. They’re earned by teaching, and a person checks every claim.
08 Meet our Founders

We get asked what the next step is all the time, and it’s a different answer for every person asking. The door worth opening is the one that matches your life right now, not the one you feel you ought to pick.
