Do I need to hold a First Aid Certificate?
It is not a requirement of the insurance policy to have first aid training.
Why This Matters
Some insurance providers require you to have first aid for the insurance to be active.
It is not a requirement of the member policy that you hold a First Aid certificate. There is an extension in the policy wording that states Good Samaritan Acts & First Aid are covered in the event of an emergency situation.
What This Means For You
- Your membership will continue, with or without first aid training
- First aid training may increase employability
- Students and venues may choose you over others when you have first aid training
What You Need To Do
- Determine if any of the venues you teach in require you to be fiirst aid trained
- Research the first aid training in your area
- Book on to a first aid training
- Complete the training and receive your certificate
- Upload the certification on the compliance section of your Live CV
