Everything about CPD

CPD (Continuous Professional Development), CE (Continuing Education), or further training includes any training that helps you grow as a yoga teacher. There is no annual requirement, and both online and in-person training can count.

Why This Matters

As a yoga teacher, your development doesn’t stop after your initial training. CPD is how you continue to build your confidence, expand your skills, and explore new opportunities.

What This Means for You

  • What Counts As 'CPD Hours'?

Any development event that is specifically for yoga teachers can count towards CPD hours/points. The event does not need to be registered with us to be recognised in our career path model. 

YAP members can accumulate any additional training hours after their 200-hour course to go towards their career path level upgrades. 

Typically, 1 hour = 1 CPD

  • Does Online Training Count?

Yes, you can include any further training done online in your further training hours.

Your further training hours account for up to 30% of your total teaching hours to upgrade your membership level. 

We recommend you attend as much in-person/live-streamed training as possible; in our experience, this is where you will find the most value.

If you have insurance with Balens through your YogaPros membership, any yoga topics (excluding AcroYoga, Aerial Yoga and Yogalates) are covered in the policy. If your further training course was pre-recorded or on-demand, then you must have had a live/in-person assessment for the insurance company to cover the topic. Please feel free to reach out for more details specific to you.

  • What Is The Annual CPD Requirement? 

There are no annual CPD requirements for YogaPros memberships. However, teachers are encouraged to take development opportunities whenever they can. 

  • Updating Your Profile To Reflect Your Training

You can update your profile to reflect your training hours by logging in your profile and submitting your certificate. Once approced, it will be reflected on your Live Cv.
