Do I need to be first aid qualified?
No, you are not required to have a first aid qualification for your YogaPros membership or insurance. However, you are still covered for emergency first aid situations.

We know there can be some uncertainty around what’s required to teach safely and professionally. Understanding where you stand with qualifications like first aid helps you feel more confident and clear in your role as a teacher.
What This Means for You
It is not a requirement of this membership or insurance policy that you must have a first aid certificate.
If you have the policy through membership with Balens, there is an extension in Zurich Professional, Public and Products Liability policy wording (page 24 section 2) that states Good Samaritan Acts & First Aid are covered in the event of an emergency situation.
While it is not a requirement, having first aid knowledge can still be a valuable part of your development as a teacher, especially as you gain more experience and responsibility in different teaching environments.
