Can I Pause My Membership?
A Career Break allows you to pause your YogaPros membership for up to 2 years without needing to reapply later. You will not be insured during this time, and limited access to your account will remain.
Why This Matters
We know that your teaching journey doesn’t always move in a straight line. Whether you’re taking time for maternity or paternity leave, recovering from an injury, or simply stepping back, a Career Break gives you the flexibility to pause without losing your place.
What This Means for You
A Career Break allows you to pause your membership without going through the full application process again in the future. During this time, you will not be an active full member, and your insurance through Balens will be paused, including your therapies policy if applicable.
You will still receive important communications from YogaPros, and you can return at any point within the 2-year period.
There is a one-time £25 fee to take a Career Break. When you return to full membership, this fee will be deducted from your membership cost. This helps you keep your progress without needing to reapply or risk paying new membership rates in the future.
Please be aware that you are not eligible to take a Career Break during your membership year. You are only eligible to request a Career Break at the end of your current membership and insurance year.

- Submit your request at least 14 days before your renewal date
- Wait for confirmation from the team

If you’ve applied for career break and you have not received any notification after 3 working days, please contact support at support@yogaallianceprofessionals.org.
Make sure to check your junk folder in case the confirmation email ends up there.
