What Is A Development Training Course?
A development training course is a further training course for qualified yoga teachers who want to build their skills, deepen their knowledge, and continue their professional development.
Why This Matters
Development training helps you grow as a teacher beyond your initial qualification. It can strengthen your teaching, expand your specialist knowledge, and contribute to your progress on the YAP platform.
What This Means for You
- Development training is for existing yoga teachers
- It helps you improve your skills and knowledge
- It can count towards your Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- Further training hours can be added to your LiveCV
- Some further training hours can count towards a membership upgrade
- A recognised development training course must be at least 28 contact hours
- The course must be taught by a Senior Yoga Teacher or an Experienced Yoga Teacher
What You Need to Do
- Decide what area of teaching or knowledge you want to develop
- Look for a development training course that matches your goals
- Check whether the course is accredited
- Complete the training and add the qualification to your Live CV
- Use those hours towards your professional development and, where applicable, your membership upgrade
