What Is A Development Training Course?

A development training course is a further training course for qualified yoga teachers who want to build their skills, deepen their knowledge, and continue their professional development.

Why This Matters

Development training helps you grow as a teacher beyond your initial qualification. It can strengthen your teaching, expand your specialist knowledge, and contribute to your progress on the YAP platform.

What This Means for You

  • Development training is for existing yoga teachers
  • It helps you improve your skills and knowledge
  • It can count towards your Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Further training hours can be added to your LiveCV
  • Some further training hours can count towards a membership upgrade
  • A recognised development training course must be at least 28 contact hours
  • The course must be taught by a Senior Yoga Teacher or an Experienced Yoga Teacher

What You Need to Do

  1. Decide what area of teaching or knowledge you want to develop
  2. Look for a development training course that matches your goals
  3. Check whether the course is accredited
  4. Complete the training and add the qualification to your Live CV
  5. Use those hours towards your professional development and, where applicable, your membership upgrade
